May 4 Summer Camp Update

May 4 Update

The West Ohio Camps announce a continued suspension of operations at Widewater, Wesley and Otterbein through May 25. A final decision regarding the summer camping program is expected soon.

Every week, every month, we have high hopes of setting a reopening date, but health and safety comes first. Following the directives of Governor Mike DeWine and the Centers of Disease Control, the safety of campers, staff, parents and families is paramount.

The Camping and Retreat Ministries Team and the directors at each of the three West Ohio Camp sites ask for your prayers during this challenging time.

Blessings, Ken Overholser, Director West Ohio Camps & Retreats

As of April 28 our camp staff and Ministry Board have laid out a plan for how our 2020 summer camps might look like. The plan is still subject to change as it goes through an approval process and information from the state of Ohio, the CDC, ACA and ACN is upgraded almost daily. Look for an announcement around May 8. Join us in prayer for discernment . Our number one goal is the safety and health of campers, staff and families.  Camper registration is currently closed so that when we make an announcement we can be fully prepared and up-to-date for what might prevail. Our commitment no matter what happens this summer is to provide connection to our campers. Pray for us as we pray for you and your families during these challenging times.

Blessings, Ken Overholser, Director West Ohio Camps & Retreats
