The Rev. Aaron Baughman has been named the new Site Director for West Ohio’s Widewater Camp and Retreat Center.

Baughman (pictured here with his wife, Patty) comes to West Ohio as an ordained minister in the ELCA and holds a MDiv. From Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He also holds a B.A. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in environmental education from Warren Wilson College. He will be transitioning from his current roles, serving as an interim director of Children’s Ministry at Bexley United Methodist and chaplain at Ohio State University Medical Center, to being onsite full-time over the next month.

Camp Wesley offers beautiful scenery designed in nature to enhance your retreat. Our lodge sleeps 40 participants with bathrooms inside. This building is equipped with 2 refrigerators, coffee maker, 2 ovens and pots/pans and eating utensils. The front great room is the perfect spot to hang out, have worship or sit in front of the fireplace. Also great for small group break out sessions. The lodge is heated and air conditioned and offers the perfect setting for your group. 

Camp Wesley also has 5 Yurts and a New Log Cabin that each sleep up to 18. There is a short walk to the shower house that has 6 stalls and 6 showers per shower house. Each building is equipped with a window AC unit and a plug-in space heater for colder nights September-November and March-May. There are fire rings outside for your group to enjoy a nice evening fire for small group discussions.
