Scripture is clear about the importance of showing honor to our pastors. This is why Camp Otterbein has set aside one camp this season specifically for church leaders and their families.
 
Otterbein Family Camp for Church Leaders is scheduled for Sunday, July 25 through Tuesday, July 27. It is the perfect opportunity to spend time making memories with your family and growing in your faith together.
 
Church leaders, you and your families will have your own private accommodations selected during registration. In the woods, you can get the feel of a traditional, rustic cabin with modern conveniences like air-conditioning and nearby restrooms. Our treehouses are located on a secluded ridge, about ½ mile walk from the rest of camp, completely off the grid with no electricity or running water. You can also choose to bring your own tent or RV.

Camp Widewater Welcomes New Interim Director

After 4 years of service, Rachel Palmer has resigned as Director of Camp Widewater to pursue other endeavors.

“Rachel’s unique gifts to Camp Widewater will be felt for many years to come. She made a lasting impact on campers and retreats while making Widewater an exceptional facility,” says Ken Overholser, Conference Director of Camping & retreat Ministries.

Larry Wilifordwill serve as interim Camp Director of Camp Widewater. A retired United Methodist Elder and Camp Director he has served in Upper New York and East Kansas Conferences..

Larry has hit the ground running by hosting a Work Camp on his second day, May 8. Stop bye and say hello. There are very many volunteer opportunities to assit in getting camp ready for summer.
