We’re headed outside this summer! To help stop the spread of COVID-19, Camp Otterbein is serving all our meals outside. We need your help to purchase picnic tables so our campers have somewhere to sit. Imagine picnic tables spread out across the lawn in the picture above with campers enjoying eating together outside!

We have selected high quality steel-frame picnic tables that will hold up to a beating from campers and stand the test of time. For everyone to have a place to sit, we need 16 tables. Each table costs $275 including the frame kit and lumber.

Camp Widewater Welcomes New Interim Director

After 4 years of service, Rachel Palmer has resigned as Director of Camp Widewater to pursue other endeavors.

“Rachel’s unique gifts to Camp Widewater will be felt for many years to come. She made a lasting impact on campers and retreats while making Widewater an exceptional facility,” says Ken Overholser, Conference Director of Camping & retreat Ministries.

Scott Jensen will serve as interim Camp Director of Camp Widewater. A retired United Methodist Camp Director from Storm Mountain, South Dakota, Jensen has served as an Interim Director in South Carolina in 2019 and is a supervisor for Habitat for Humanity.
