Rev. Arlis Robina Vaughn -

Rev. Arlis Robina Vaughn, 69 was born on January 31, 1955.

Rev. Arlis was a Full Elder and throughout her career served the West Ohio Conference and these congregations:  Caldwell Memorial (S) 1994; New Hampshire Charge (L) 1995; Fairborn St Luke Associate (DS) 2000; Newark Christ (N) 2002; Grace (W) 2005; Columbus: Asbury North (CAN) 2010.

She retired in 2020

Marlene Kay Eipper -

Marlene Eipper was the spouse to Rev. Keith Eipper, pastor in the West Ohio Conference. They married July 10, 1959, and celebrated 65 years of marriage this summer.  

After retirement in 2002 Marlene and Keith moved to Parker, Colorado, to be near their 2 children and 1 grandson. Marlene was known for her great smile and friendly disposition to all.  Her favorite times were spent with her husband and family.

Marlene is survived by her husband Rev Keith R Eipper, their daughter Susan and son-in-law Dennis Reiter, son Keith II and his partner Alan Quintana, grandson Austin Reiter and spouse Brittany, and a great-granddaughter Danielle Reiter.  Also a brother Richard Laub and his wife Beverly.

Marlene Kay Eipper -

The Spouse of Rev. Keith Eipper was born January 22, 1939. They married July 10, 1959, and celebrated 65 years of marriage this summer.  

Marlene was Keith’s partner and assisted during his 43 years of pastoral ministry. Marlene loved the Lord a lot and was highly involved with her Church communities.  After retirement in 2002 Marlene and Keith moved to Parker, Colorado, to be near their 2 children and 1 grandson. Marlene was known for her great smile and friendly disposition to all.  Her favorite times were spent with her husband and family.

Marlene is survived by her husband Rev. Keith R Eipper, their daughter Susan and son-in-law Dennis Reiter, son Keith II and his partner Alan Quintana, grandson Austin Reiter and spouse Brittany, and a great-granddaughter Danielle Reiter.  Also a brother Richard Laub and his wife Beverly.

Rev. Linda Scott -

Born on March 1, 1947, in Wooster, Massachusetts, she dedicated her life to the service of others as a compassionate respiratory therapist and as a devout minister within the United Methodist Church.

Her ministry began at Spring Valley Methodist Church and continued at The Church of the Messiah, where she served until retirement.

Reverend Scott is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Lee and her husband Mike Davidek; her son, Todd and his wife Amber Pickney; her brothers, Greg Freitag and his wife Sharon, and Rick Freitag and his wife Marilyn. She was a proud grandmother to Courtney Lee, Justin Pickney, Taylor Davidek, Grayson, and Mia Pickney. She is also remembered by her cousin Judi Berry, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nedra Greenlee, stepfather, Bill Greenlee, father, Otto Freitag, and grandson, Josh Pickney.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of the Messiah, 51 North State St., Westerville, Ohio.

The family will receive friends on October 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with the service commencing at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Blendon Cemetery. A reception at the church will be held afterward, where family and friends are welcome to join in celebrating Reverend Scott's life.

Rev. Dr. Mark Dove -

Rev. Dr. Mark Dove, was born on October 4, 1932. He was married to his wife Jenelle for 59 years. They raised three children, Tim, Todd, and Shelly, who passed away.

Rev. Dove was ordained as an elder in the Methodist Church in 1957.

His first assignment in 1957 included three rural churches in Southern Ohio- Maineville, Cozzadale, and Zoar. For his second assignment, he served as associate minister for Westwood Methodist, Cincinnati, Friendship Methodist Church in Wyoming, Grace Church in Washington Courthouse 1973 and Linworth in Columbus in 1978.

In 1987 he was called to service as a District Superintendent of Springfield District, Springfield Ohio. His final work was at Linworth in Worthington, Ohio starting in 1992 and retiring in 1998 after spearheading the building of the new Linworth on Bent Tree Blvd in Columbus.

Along the way he helped raise three children, Tim, Shelley, and Todd. Father, Mother, and Brother are all gone plus daughter, Shelley who died at age 24 of Leukemia but both sons survived him along with his loving wife, Jenelle, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Friendship Village of Dublin October 11th, 2024 at 3:00pm. Love gifts may be sent to Friendship Village, 6000 Riverside Drive Dublin Ohio 43017. Please mark for the Benevolent Fund.

Rev. Theodore “Ted” L. Yewey -

Rev. Theodore “Ted” L. Yewey, age 90, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, formerly of Celina, Ohio, peacefully passed away at his home on September 21, 2024. Yewey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, V. June (Coats) Yewey, who passed away on November 14, 2021.

Yewey is survived by his children: Randall (Patricia) Yewey of Celina, Susan (Ken) Vendryes of Troy, Ohio, Gerald (Claudia) Yewey of Germany, and Kathryn (Jeff) Pence of Tipp City, Ohio. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and cherished by ten great-grandchildren.

Yewey devoted 38 years to the Methodist ministry, playing a pivotal role in establishing the Otterbein Communities in Cridersville and St. Marys, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many. He was a member of Grand Lake Methodist Church in Celina, Ohio.

Funeral services have previously been held. Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina.

Kay Michaelan Kinney -

She was born on May 12, 1943 to parents Richard and Ruby (Hall) Morris of Buchanan, Michigan, Kay attended Adrian College where she met her husband, Roger. On June 19, 1965 she married Roger Kinney, and he preceded her in death on August 31, 1994. Kay put passion and grace into every aspect of her life; whether it was dinner with family, card games with friends or Bible study with small groups. Her passion and joy for life was widespread and captivating.

She is survived by her children; Rob (Marie) Kinney and Amanda Weber, brother Ron (Sandy) Morris; grandchildren Zach, Alexis, Chelsie, Hannah, Matt, Emma, Gavin, Sam, Ethan and Addison; six great-grandchildren; and life-long friend and neighbor, Jan Krause. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Roger.

Kay was known to exude warmth and was a pivotal figure in her community. She retired after teaching 21 years at Pettisville Elementary School, and also served as a leader in her church, the Pettisville Missionary Church. She will be remembered fondly for her faith, kindness and devotion to serving those around her.

Margaret "Susan" Cottrill -

Susan (nee Bozarth) Cottrill, beloved wife for 36 years of the late Rev. Dr. David Cottrill. Loving mother of Kathleen Susan Holcomb, Karen Diane (Robert D.) Pierson. Devoted grandmother of Danial Joseph Holcomb, William David Holcomb, Robert David Pierson, Lee Joseph Herzner Jr. and Hailey Rose Pierson. Dear sister of the late John L. (Marge) Bozarth and Cheryl (Charles) Hewitt. Daughter of the late Marguaret Alberta (Sleesman) Bozarth and John Pierpont Bozarth. Susan was a school teacher for 32 years, most of those years spent teaching first grade in the Lakota Local School District.

Rev. Clarence M Thompson -

Thompson was born on September 8, 1935 in Sharpsburg Ohio the oldest son of the late Clifford and Erdene (Foreman) Thompson

Thompson was a retired Methodist Minister, serving for over 40 years, starting at the Hemlock Methodist Church, and including the Moxahala Charge, the Webb’s Chapel Charge, and the Enterprise Charge, He was a graduate of the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, a retired mechanical machinist from G.E of Logan Ohio, a United States Army Korean War Veteran, and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 69 years, Edna (Lanning) Thompson, his children Mark (Robin) Thompson, Jane Skon, David (Mary Kay) Thompson, Teresa (Jeff) Marks and Paul (Lisa) Thompson. grandchildren; Joel, Kati, Luke, Daniel, Joel David, Juliana, Rebekah, Amanda, Lora, Alejandra, Adrian, Justin, Trevor, and Brandon; 8 great-grandchildren; several brother and sister-in- laws, nieces and nephews

Funeral services were previously held.

Rev. Michael Thomas Messick -

Even through a long and well-fought fight with several illnesses over the last year, he kept his sense of humor until the very end. Michael was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on March 1, 1952 to Martha (Daniels) and Cecil Messick.

He is survived by his wife Rev. Ruth Messick.  Michael adored his family and is survived by his children Shelli (Matt) King of Brentwood, TN, Jason (Sharon) Messick of Mt. Juliet, Bryan (Amanda) Messick of Central, UT, Katie Smith of Ashland, KY, and Sarah (Krist’n) Hutchinson of Ashville, OH, his beautiful grandchildren Jodi (John) Messick, JT Messick, Matthew King, Stephen (Georgia) Messick, William King, Sydney Messick, Corban Messick, Kaylee Messick, and Raylan Smith, and great grandchildren Esther and Athena Messick. He is also survived by his three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and his still-born brother.

He served several congregation within the West Ohio Conference  Eldorado (DN) 1988; Crosby (C) 1990; Crosby-New Haven (C) 1992; West Mansfield (S) 1995; Circleville Good Shepherd (CS) 2004; Incapacity Leave 2009.

Services have previously been held. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memoriam can be made to the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation.
