Mexico VIM Teams

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” -Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Our mission teams to Mexico are coordinated through Manos Juntas, the licensed healthcare ministry of the Methodist Church of Mexico. Under the umbrella of Manos Juntas, a number of other ministries provide for basic needs such as housing, education, childcare, and social engagement. Mission teams to Mexico are encouraged to serve in a multitude of ways, depending on the skills of their team members. This short-term mission consists of two to three days of mission service along with two days of travel and set up. Teams stay at Manos Juntas in Rio Bravo.

For teams with a medical component, the mobile medical clinic is set up in different locations during the mission. Each day's location will be determined by Manos Juntas staff and will maximize the team's impact. Clinic sites will be in communities around Rio Bravo, Reynosa, and Nuevo Progreso. Teams may also include a construction project, visiting the children's home, providing a community VBS, or serving in another Manos Juntas ministry.

All are welcome to come and share the love of Jesus while forming relationships with the people of Mexico! Teams are often made up of medical professionals (doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, specialists, nurses, and dieticians), as well as translators, pastors, educators, and anyone else who wants to share in God's mission!
