Church of the Cross United Methodist Church in Kettering is seeking a dedicated and passionate Christian Education Director to lead and nurture a vibrant, effective, and safe Christian education program for children. This role also supports and enhances Christian education opportunities for all age groups within the church, helping to foster spiritual growth across the congregation.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain a dynamic Christian education program for children
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all participants
• Assist in strengthening and expanding Christian education programs for youth and adults
• Collaborate with church leadership to enhance overall faith formation efforts
• Plan and support special Christian education events and programs
• Supervise Safe Sanctuary Policy training and maintain records for monitoring compliance.

Ideal Candidate
• Passion for helping children and adults grow in faith and discipleship
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and families
• Ability to build a team of volunteers who support Christian education
• Experience in ministry, education, or a related field

Position Details
• Part-time, salaried position
• Approximately 15 hours per week. Hours are flexible but Sunday mornings are expected and Christian holidays whenever children’s programming is offered.
