The 2026 Certified Lay Minister Academy Retreat will be held on September 5-6, 2025, at the West Ohio Conference Center, 32 Wesley Blvd, Worthington, Ohio.

Beginning on Friday, 6:00 pm-8:30 pm, the retreat will offer an informational session for those not enrolled in the Academy but interested in becoming a Certified Lay Minister. You will learn about the Certified Lay Minister Academy and hear from West Ohio CLMs as they share their ministry journey. Other CLMs currently serving in West Ohio are invited to attend.

On Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, the Academy opens with two courses: Spiritual Disciplines and Cultural Competency. Throughout the day, participants will have opportunities to learn more about the Academy, reflect, and share time in community. The weekend will conclude with worship and communion. Students starting the Academy this weekend will be part of the Class of 2026.

Participants enrolled in the Academy can reserve overnight accommodation for Friday at The Sheraton Suites Columbus-Worthington, located at 201 Hutchinson Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43235—just one mile from the West Ohio Conference Center. The rate is $99 per night.
