UMCOR is responding to the urgent needs of Venezuelans affected by recent earthquakes by supporting two ACT Alliance partners — Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) — and our partners at Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE).

LWF, DKH and CORE are providing immediate humanitarian relief on the ground right now, including food, water, psychosocial support, personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders and volunteers, and more.

UMCOR's support of these partners expands the reach of aid and support to as many survivors as possible. UMCOR is in close communication with these and other partners in the region and is prepared to offer relief and long-term support to Venezuela for the long haul.

As first responders continue to work, please pray for and with the families of loved ones of thousands of people who are injured, missing, or have died. Also, pray for those displaced by this disaster.
