MONTHLY MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” – Hebrews 10:23-25

In a ministry field of BIG changes, we have learned that consistency, connection, collaboration, and companionship are essential for moving forward in ministry together in love and good works.  All In Community puts into practice the Hebrews writer’s principles for growing stronger through adversity.  As such, we offer monthly environments designed for mutual discipleship, equipping for good works, encouraging engagement and restorative relational healing.  Each environment harnesses collective compassion, wisdom, gifts and innovation from the group gathered online. As we bring hope and healing in the midst of people’s harmful circumstances, we all need consistent infusions of hope, connection and collaboration. So, mark your calendar and plan to participate in the following monthly offerings.

FRANKLY SPEAKING with FOUR FRIENDS

1st Tuesdays @ 7:00pm on ZOOM

Frankly Speaking with Four Friends is a monthly opportunity to engage with restored neighbors (formerly incarcerated individuals) in conversations that will enlighten people about their lived experiences.  Frank and open discussions will provide for the reduction of stigma around incarceration.  Each month will feature different speakers and different topics for conversation.

MINISTRY MONDAYS

4th Mondays @ 7:00pm on ZOOM

Ministry Mondays are FREE opportunities for learning about specific All In Community ministry pathways both connectionally and within local congregations that radiate out into the community-at-large. Topics may include HOPE Letters ministry, Restorative Practices & Listening Circles, the First 72, Good Samaritan Ministry, and new mission initiatives.

February 23 @ 7:00pm on ZOOM - HOPE Letters Ministry

Join us to learn about one of our signature initiatives endorsed by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) to provide a mentorship through correspondence opportunity for their residents preparing to return home after an incarceration experience. We will hear from current mentors who will share how this outreach has made a difference in their own lives just as it has on the mentees inside that they write to each month.

WELLNESS WEDNESDAYS
Videos Available on the All In Community YouTube Channel!

Wellness Wednesday videos provide a 30-minute tool or tip on how to maintain health and well-being in the midst of life’s challenges. Focused on living out the Scriptures and being present for those who are impacted by criminal justice systems, this video series provides real-time, relevant education around creative ways to care for ourselves as we co-labor in “doing justice.”

In Exploring Your Wellness Economy, Dr. Camisha Chambers (D.Min) defines the term wellness. “Wellness is first and foremost a choice to assume responsibility for the quality of your life. It begins with a conscious decision to shape a healthy lifestyle.” She, then, challenges us to look at a “wellness economy” in all aspects of our life – personal, professional, relational, physical, spiritual, emotional. And finally, steps for strategizing moving more fully into wellness are given in this series of videos.
