Scioto River District and Great Miami River District Joint Training – Saturday, January 24, 2026

Plans are under way for the 2026 Leadership Training Day in the Scioto River & Great Miami River Districts. Mark your calendars and plan to meet us at Xenia Faith Community UMC. All clergy and laity are encouraged to attend.
Our keynote speaker will be Superintendent Kelly Brown. Rev. Brown is currently the District Superintendent of the West Plains District, East Ohio Conference. Previously he served as Director of Congregational Vitality for East Ohio after serving four pastoral appointments. Rev. Brown is co-author of the book Church Ecology: Creating a Leadership Pathway for Your Church with Rev. Ken Willard. His keynote address is titled Leadership Development for Church Health.
Breakout sessions include Discipleship, Finance, Children and Youth Ministries, Staff/Pastor Parish Relations, Enneagram training, Fresh Expressions, Small Church Leadership, Immigration, and many more.

Maumee River District & Western Lakes District Joint Training– Sunday, January 25, 2026
The traditional Regional Leadership Training Day is coming January 25, 2026!
1:30pm – 5:30pm | Findlay St. Andrews UMC | 120 W. Sandusky St. Findlay

The afternoon will feature many options for a breakout session with topics on Next Gen and Youth Ministry, Stewardship, Discipleship Small Groups, Fresh Expression, Financial Best Practices, Lay Leadership, Asset Mapping for Mission, Creation Care, Ethics of Social Media, SPRC Training, and Simplifying Church Leadership (One Board Model).

Olentangy River District and Hocking River District Joint Training – Thursday, January 29, 2026
9:30 AM - 2:00 PM | Crossroads Ministry Center | 2905 West Fair Avenue, Lancaster
Check-in will begin at 9:30 AM followed by worship at 10:00 AM. We will have workshops available throughout the day along with boxed lunches for a lunch and learn. Topics will cover, Stewardship, Trustees, SPRC, Fresh Expressions, Discipleship, Small Groups, Next Generation and Youth, One Board Model and Practical Ideas and Mission Opportunities. A more complete schedule will be available soon.
